Student Application support
Breakthrough supports students who believe in post-secondary education, but may not have all the resources to support them. Our students include: First Generation College Bound, Single Parent Household and Low-Income individuals.
Students can apply during their 5th and 6th grade school year.

BEFORE you begin your application:
Review the application support guide. This contains a copy of all the questions in the application, as well as some tips on completing the application. This document is accessible in multiple languages.
Gather your teacher information. All students will need the name and email of a teacher who will write their recommendation.
Gather your student records. All students will need to upload their most recent report card and test scores
Use your personal email. We will send follow up communications to this address.
BEGIN your application:
Students and parents should work through the application together. Plan to spend 1 hour on the application.
Application Due Date: March 13th
Student/Family Interviews: March 23rd - April 10th
Decision Letters Sent: April 14th
Orientation: April 22nd - April 29th
Summer Session: June 29th - July 31st (NO PROGRAM July 3rd)
CONTINUE your application: If you’ve already started your application, you can resume your application in English or Spanish. If you didn’t upload your student records during the application process, you can also submit student records below.
