Super Saturdays 2026-27 (6th - 8th Graders)

Super Saturdays are monthly opportunities for career exploration, designed just for 6th - 8th grade Breakthrough students! Click into each experience for details on date, time, location and transportation options. Breakfast and Lunch are always provided.

  • October 3, 2026

    Join us for an exciting Breakthrough Cincinnati Super Saturday at the Civic Garden Center!

    Students will spend the day exploring science, sustainability, and careers through three hands-on experiences. They’ll build their own hydroponic garden system, explore the grounds while designing their own garden spaces, and become compost scientists as they investigate the organisms that help turn food and plant waste into healthy soil. It will be a fun, interactive day of learning, creating, and getting our hands a little dirty!

  • November 7, 2026 at the University of Cincinnati

    Students will take a trip to UC Health, learn from multiple UC students, and explore different lines of work in healthcare.

    Transportation to UC from student homes will be provided, if requested.

  • January 23 or 30, 2027

    Bring the whole family and join the BTC community for fun, food and fellowship at Stone Lanes.

    No transportation is provided

  • February 6, 2027

    Take a trip with us to the Gaskins Foundation to learn all about STEM! Explore how Stem is used in the world, and learn all about career pathways in STEM fields.

    Transportation will be provided from Victory Parkway.

  • March 20, 2027

    Students will travel to the Archaeological Research Institute in Lawrenceburg, Indiana where they will learn about careers in history and archaeology. Students will visit the on-site lab and examine artifacts as they piece together local history.

    Transportation will be provided from Victory Parkway to ARI for all students

  • April 3, 2027

    Students will visit Frost Brown Todd and Gibbons to learn about law, examine careers in law, and talk with lawyers about their livelihood.

    Transportation will be provided from Victory Parkway.

  • April 24, 2027

    Join us as we travel to a local university to learn about college life. Students will visit campus, learn about careers, grab some food and learn all about being a college student!

    Transportation will be provided from Victory Parkway.

  • May 1st, 2027; 7:30am - 7:00pm

    Reserved for students who have participated in at least 3 school year engagements (Super Saturdays or tutoring), we will travel to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum for a fun-filled day of learning.

    Transportation will be provided from Victory Parkway.

    The bus will depart from Victory Parkway. Admission to the museum and lunch are also included.

Tutoring

Tutoring is offered weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00 -7:00 via Microsoft Teams beginning September 29, 2026.

You may need to download the MS Teams App or use the browser version. It is best to use a computer vs a phone in order to share screens and use chat features.
