Students are eligible to apply to Breakthrough Cincinnati when they are in the 5th grade. 6th grade students are also welcome to apply, but space is very limited. Each year, new student applications are available beginning in December and are due at the end of February. Notification letters to families are sent out by the end of March. Once a student is admitted into the program, they are expected to commit to both the summer and school year programs. Returning students are required to resubmit paperwork each year. However, as long as they remain in good standing with Breakthrough their spot is secure.

Student forms and essays
Parent Section and financial questionnaire
Teacher Recommendation (form is in the application posted above)
Transcript from school (form is in the application posted above)
